With Georgia roots in Vidalia and Sandersville, Georgia, Emma's experience in fundraising dates back to her days as a college student when she worked as a student caller for Auburn University's phone-a-thon campaign. Since that time, she has sharpened her skills through her work at the American Cancer Society, planning and executing large-scale fundraisers. In most instances, she exceeded fundraising and volunteer goals set forth for her. In addition, she has extensive volunteer and community service experience in this arena. In her previous role as Community Relations Development Coordinator for PruittHealth Hospice, Emma became proficient in cultivating and managing key relationships, another important aspect that will serve her well in this role with the Terry College.
Emma is a strong community volunteer as well and has held leadership positions with the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce, The 1919, Athens Regional Health Services Young Professional Board, the Junior League of Athens, Friends of DFCS, Athensmade, Family Connection-Communities in Schools, and LEAD Athens.
