BBA Applicants

  1.   Major Selections

    Students apply to a first and second choice major. View BBA Majors

    Students who meet the following application eligibility requirements are considered eligible to apply to a Terry BBA major. Meeting these minimum requirements does not guarantee admission to a Terry BBA major. Acceptance is decided based on evaluation of major-specific selection criteria.

  2.   Currently enrolled at UGA

    All applicants to a major in the Terry College of Business must be currently enrolled in the University of Georgia.

  3.   2.6 overall GPA and a 2.0 UGA GPA

    Based on UGA academic record by application deadline.

  4. Applicants need to have completed or be in the process of completing GenEd Areas I – VI. See the BBA Checklist for a complete list of Area VI required courses.

  5.   MATH 1113

    A grade or exemption in MATH 1113 must be posted to the applicant's UGA academic record.

  6.   ACCT 2101

    A grade in ACCT 2101 must be posted to the applicant's UGA academic record.

  7.   MSIT 3000

    Students must have completed or be enrolled in MSIT 3000.

  8.   Testing Requirements
    • Students are required to submit ACT or SAT scores and sub-scores to the University prior to being considered for admission to a major in the Terry College. In addition to required ACT/SAT scores, students may also supplement their application by submitting a score from the ETS Proficiency Profile if they believe their ACT/SAT scores do not represent their current performance level.     • Accounting and Finance applicants must also complete the Terry Accounting Exam.
    • The ETS Proficiency Profile and the Accounting Exam are administered by the UGA Testing Center, and all questions regarding testing times and costs should be directed there (testing.uga.edu).
  9.   Statement of Purpose

    A Statement of Purpose is a brief essay (300–400 words) which describes your interest in a major and future goals. A separate Statement of Purpose is required for each major.

AB Economics Applicants

    Students who meet the following application eligibility requirements are considered eligible to apply to the Terry AB Economics major. Meeting these minimum requirements does not guarantee admission to the major. Acceptance is decided based on evaluation of major-specific selection criteria.

  1.   Currently enrolled at UGA

    All applicants to a major in the Terry College of Business must be currently enrolled at The University of Georgia.

  2.   2.6 overall GPA and a 2.0 UGA GPA

    Based on UGA academic record by application deadline.

  3.  Complete or be in the process of completing 58 Hours

    Students should follow the AB Core Curriculum.

     Complete or be in the process of completing ECON 2105 and ECON 2106

    Note: Students must earn a grade of “C” (2.0) or better in both ECON 2105 and ECON 2106 to successfully complete the AB Economics degree.

  4.   Testing Requirements
    • Students are required to submit ACT or SAT scores and sub-scores to the University prior to being considered for admission to a major in the Terry College.
