The Georgia MBA has the fifth-highest yield of all full-time MBA programs in the United States, according to new data from Poets&Quants, the leading business education website. Yield is defined as the ratio of admitted students to accepted students.
Terry’s program netted a 71.2% yield for the class entering in 2018, meaning nearly 5 out of every 7 students who were accepted to the Georgia MBA program chose to attend. Terry’s yield was bettered only by Harvard, Stanford, BYU and Columbia.
As P&Q noted, “yield reflects the desirability of an educational brand and everything it entails: messaging, support, curriculum, outputs, and community.”
“This is a direct result of the value a Terry MBA holds in today’s marketplace,” said Santanu Chatterjee, director of the Full-Time MBA and MS in Business Analytics programs. “The students who apply to Terry want to be in Athens at the University of Georgia, taking classes at the new Business Learning Community, and benefiting from the many professional development opportunities our program offers. We’re the first choice for them because they clearly see the benefits of a Terry education.”
