
Jennifer and Mike Dollander (BBA ’90) have a deep love for three things: each other, Athens and sweet treats. In 2019, they combined those passions to create Alumni Cookie Dough, an Athens cafe serving up iookie dough, milkshakes and ice cream.
University of Georgia marketing researchers have found that shoppers’ perceptions of the value of grocery staples vary depending on the physical size of the product and how the price is presented. Specifically, shoppers perceive larger items are a better deal when sold by the pound, but smaller items are a better deal when sold by the unit — even when the prices are essentially the same.
For Matt (BBA ’09, MAcc ’11) and Adrianne (BBA ’10, MAcc ’11) Beacham, the University of Georgia and the Terry College of Business have always been more than just a school.
