Terry honors three with 2015 Outstanding Faculty Awards

2015 Outstanding Faculty Award honorees Son Lam

Three faculty members received Outstanding Faculty Awards for their contributions to the Terry College and the University of Georgia at a reception this fall.

Son Lam, associate professor of marketing, received the Outstanding Research Award. Lam is a renowned researcher, having been recognized multiple times by the American Marketing Association as one of the top 50 marketing scholars worldwide for research productivity. His research interests include marketing strategy implementation with an emphasis on sales management and relationship marketing. His current work is focused on sales management and customer relationships using social network and dyadic analysis, and identity–motivated relationships in internal marketing, sales management and customer–brand relationships.

Kevin Ellis, senior lecturer in the department of marketing, was honored with the 2015 Outstanding Teaching Award. A consummate teacher, Ellis consistently receives top marks on teaching evaluations and is frequently cited as a “favorite professor” by Terry students and alumni. As director of the Terry Sales Competitions, Ellis has guided a generation of students toward highest honors at regional and national sales competitions against the country’s top universities.

The Terry Outstanding Service Award went to Henry Munneke, associate dean for undergraduate programs, head of the Real Estate Program and holder of a Terry Distinguished Chair of Business. Within his department, Munneke has served as the faculty advisor for the Terry Real Estate Society since 1995 and coordinates the Real Estate Internship Program and Résumé Book. Every student graduating from Terry College in the last decade has been touched by his commitment to service through his involvement as the chair of the Undergraduate Programs Committee.
