Laura Little, director of the Institute for Leadership Advancement and associate professor of Management at the Terry College, was named a finalist for the 2016 Rosabeth Kanter Award for Excellence in Work-Family Research.
Little was honored for her article “Professional Image Maintenance: How Women Navigate Pregnancy in the Workplace,” which was published in the Academy of Management Journal. She was one of five finalists for the award, which is given out annually by Purdue University.
Named after of one for the founding researchers in organizational behavior and human resources management, the Rosabeth Kanter Award serves to raise the awareness of high quality work-family research among the scholar, consultant and practitioner communities.
All nominees are selected via a very rigorous process involving no external nomination and review by a committee of over 60 leading scholars who determined this year nominees from over 2500 articles published in 82 leading English-language journals from around the world.
