After a two-year hiatus, Terry College’s annual Convocation ceremonies return to Stegeman Coliseum.

The 2022 graduating class streams into the Coliseum on back-to-back days in May — with Graduate Convocation slated for May 12 at 10 a.m., followed by Undergraduate Convocation on May 13 at 2 p.m.

Both Convocation ceremonies will follow the Southeastern Conference Clear Bag Policy.

Ruth Bartlett (BBA ’76) is the keynote speaker for the undergraduate ceremony. She retired from Frazier & Deeter in 2018 after 28 years at the firm and 42 years in public accounting. Bartlett helped grow Frazier & Deeter from 20 people in Atlanta to a regional power with more than 400 professionals. She served as head of the audit department and was the firm’s first female partner and first woman to serve as president of the Georgia Society of CPAs.

Bartlett received Terry’s Distinguished Alumni Award in 1997 and served on the college’s alumni board from 2003-2011, including as chair in 2005. After her service to Terry, she was president of the UGA Alumni Association from 2015-2017.

In addition to recognizing Terry’s master’s degree and doctoral graduates, the graduate ceremony features keynote speaker Debbie Storey (MBA ’06), president and CEO of the AT&T Performing Arts Center.

Before joining the center, Storey led large organizations at BellSouth and AT&T. Her most recent role was as executive vice president of mobility customer service. She worked for four years as senior vice president of talent development and chief diversity officer. In that role, she was responsible for identifying and developing leaders across 240,000 employees in 60 countries, aligning managers with the company’s priorities and driving employee engagement.

She serves on the Terry College Emeritus Board and Dean’s Advisory Council, the St. Petersburg Warehouse Arts District Board, and is a strategic advisor to an AI company, Afiniti.
