About this Scholarship
The Guy C. Brazell, Jr. Scholarship was established in 1993 by his family in memory and recognition of his life-long devotion to the insurance industry. The Scholarship Award is made annually as a grant of full tuition to an in-state University of Georgia rising senior majoring in Risk Management and Insurance in the Terry College of Business.
The Scholarship is designated for recognition of a well-rounded student who brings to the profession both academic success and the practical personal skills necessary to promote the industry at the sales and administrative level. The award is presented each spring at the UGA Insurance Society Banquet with the name of the recipient engraved on a permanent plaque.
